Dearest Sister,
your book was in the mail yesterday: it's beautiful! I am very proud to have a publishing member in the family. I have browsed through a bit and find it better than expected: I expected some generalized New Age wisdom in new words, and I am delighted to find a gentle, kind, wise and innovative voice, with this special wisdom and smartness that makes talking to you so unique and wonderful, and also so helpful.
One feels relieved and good about oneself, reading your words. I really like the little passage on 'Leaders' at the end (told you, have just browsed).
Not many family secrets I'm afraid (I mean some gore and filth), but that is a quality also with you: this being kind to those who've been part of your past.
I had a visitor from the Philipines in the house yesterday, a young woman attending a conference, and she had some time to kill, so I gave her your book saying: 'Read this, my sister wrote it' When I returned an hour later she was still reading, saying she could relate quite a bit. Later she confessed that her little sister too had had a baby at 19, and that her parents were raising the 3 year old boy. Little sister was heartbroken in the States, studying Hotel management and crying a lot.Thank you for making your unique voice heard and tons of success to you! Julia.
